URBAN FUTURE May 23: Workshop: Circular Economy in the building sector
Norwegian Green Building Council is a partner in URBAN FUTURE Global Conference May 22-24 in Oslo.
URBAN FUTURE global conference is organised in collaboration with FutureBuilt and is one of the main events in the Oslo European Green Capital Year.
On May 23 from 14:00-15:30 Anne Solgaard from Norwegian Green Building Council and Joke Dufourmont from Circle Economy will chair a workshop on how the industry is leading the way for Circular Economy development & use cases.
The real estate sector does not have the reputation as a beacon for innovation. But it should, as the sector is leading the way when it comes to circular economy. We will experience Circular Economy concepts and cases from around the world. At the same time, we look closer at buildings in general: today, we design for a purpose.
It’s mainly either residential, commercial, offices, retail, sometimes a bit mixed. But in an uncertain world with massive social and economic changes underway, shouldn’t we think differently when there’s a new building in the making? With examples from across Europe, that’s what we will explore in this very engaging workshop.
